ASHOKA UNIVERSITY Ashoka University is named after Emperor Ashoka (c. 304 – 232 BC) who represents India’s highest values and ideals. The emblem of the university in red colour is a depiction of the expanding universe of multidisciplinary education through an intersection of arcs that reflect the creation and synthesis of diverse knowledge. The concentric circles in the motif tell us a lot about liberal arts and the circle of life and the generation of the logo using mathematics. It also resembles a flower. Its name is written at the right of the motif in blue colour custom font in two lines. The colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
