SIKKIM PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Sikkim Professional University (SPU) has a golden orchid, which is a symbol of the State of Sikkim which  represents elegance, refinement, innocence, grace and endurance. A motif of Teaching Buddha is placed over the orchid and all these are placed on a gold edged shield, which houses its acronym ‘SP’ and ‘University’. The name of the university and its motto ‘An Abode of Knowledge’ written in sans serif bold font are placed on its right. All of these are hosed in a blue rectangular panel. SHRI RAMASAMY MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY The circular emblem of Shri Ramasamy Memorial University (SRMU), has a motif of a fully grown tree in lemon ginger colour placed on a circle and ensconced by a thatch green border with its name inscribed on it in Lisbon brown. The tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything. The colour Lisbon brown symbolise earthiness and memory; the colour thatch green denotes wealth and the lemon ginger colour denotes sun, heat and refreshment. 

SIKKIM ALPINE UNIVERSITY Sikkim Alpine University’s (SAU) insignia is a shield holding an interesting monogram of its acronym ‘SAU’, with the counter of the ‘S’ holding a red dot denoting a human. This is created with a dark blue and orange colour. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘विवेकख्यातिरविप्लवा हानोपायः’ (2.26, Patanjali Yog Sutra) meaning ‘Clear and Distinct Discriminative Knowledge is the Means of Destruction of Ignorance’ is inscribed below the shield. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the human symbolises its beneficiaries and stakeholders, the dark blue colour symbolises knowledge, authority, and reliability, power, mystery and responsibility and the orange colour denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

KHANGCHENDZONGA STATE UNIVERSITY The insignia of Khangchendzonga State University (KSU) has a circle holding the motifs of Himalayas with flowing rivers; an open book and a traditional lamp. These are ensconced by a circular border with its name and place inscribed along with its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is One that Liberates’ is inscribed. This is further circumscribed by a traditional running design motif of the State. The mountains and the river represent the geography of the university; the open book denotes knowledge, education and wisdom and the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Yellareddyugudem, Nalgonda features the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam ensconced by a gear wheel. This is circumscribed by a cyan circular border with traditional designs. The name of the university is written around the border in Telugu, Devanagari and Urdu. Another blue and orange border circle bears the name of the university in English. These are surmounted by Ashoka Chakra and supported by a pair of peacocks. DR. B.R. AMBEDKAR OPEN UNIVERSITY The emblem of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) has a map of the State of Telangana supporting an open book and a traditional lamp with five faces with flames is ensconced in a yellow circular border on which its name is written in Telugu and English. Below this on a multicoloured banner, its motto ‘Education at Your Doorstep’ is written. The open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom and the five faced lamp also called ‘Pancha muga Kuthu Vilakku’ is a Hindu symbol that represents the divine light of God. The faces on the lamp represent the syllables of ‘Beeja Mandra’ Na, Ma, Si,Va and YA.

ANURAG UNIVERSITY The emblem of Anurag University (AU) is a monogram in red and blue created using its acronym ‘AU’, with ‘A’ forming an imaginary triangle intersecting with red fineserifed ‘U’. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

ICFAI FOUNDATION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION The insignia of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (ICFAIFHE) is a wordmark, with its name written in dark blue colour serif font . The status of the university is written below its name.

MEDHAVI SKILLS UNIVERSITY The emblem of Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a monogram using its acronym ‘MSU’ in cyan and yellow ochre colours. Overall it appears like a swan which symbolises Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning. The colour cyan denotes clarity, cleanliness, liveliness, tranquillity, youth and energy and the yellow ochre denotes optimism and is a symbol of life.

PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY The blue and white emblem of Presidency University Kolkata (PUK) has a traditional lamp with a waving flame with three swooshes placed in a circle. This is supported by a pair of laurels and surmounted by words ‘Excellence Since 1817’. At the bottom its name and place is written in serif typeface. UNIVERSITY OF KALYANI The emblem of University of Kalyani (UK) is a modified version of Vishva Bharati University in square shape with woodcut-like elements dividing the square into nine parts. The upper and lower parts bear the name of the university and side panels house crests of paddy. The four corner panels have four lotuses with sixteen petals holding a swastika in their centre. The central panel has a plough and a gear wheel placed inside a circle. KAKATIYA UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kakatiya University (KU) has the ‘Kakatiya Thoranam’ as its central motif and ensconced by a decorative circular border. It is surmounted by the national emblem ‘Ashoka Chakra’ which is supported on by a pair of serpents. Below the ‘Thoranam’ a Poorna Kumbha’ or Kalasham is placed. NETAJI SUBHAS OPEN UNIVERSITY The blue colour monogram of Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) uses its acronym ‘NSOU’ to create an interesting shape of a bird.The name of the university is written at its outer edges. AMITY UNIVERSITY, KOLKATA The emblem of Amity University at Rajarhat, Kolkata has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. JANANAYAK CHANDRASHEKHAR UNIVERSITY The emblem of Jananayak Chandrashekhar University (JCU) has a globe of the world with the rising sun supported by an open book and a pair of laurels. The globe is ensconced in a white circular border with red outlines, which is inscribed with its name in Devanagari and English. RAM MANOHAR LOHIYA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY The black and brown emblem of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) has a mortarboard hat surmounting a circular seal with brown border housing the motifs of a person holding a two pan beam balance having  four columns a backdrop. DR. SHAKUNTALA MISRA NATIONAL REHABILITATION UNIVERSITY The emblem used by the Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMRU) is the same as the emblem of the State of Uttar Pradesh. The state emblem dates from the time of the United Provinces. It represents the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati by wavy flowing waters between a pair of fish which is a Buddhist symbol signifying freedom from restraint and the life-giving properties of water and the two rivers. Between the arms of the pall there is a bow and arrow, the arms of the heroes of the Mahabharata. GALGOTIAS UNIVERSITY  The emblem of Galgotias University is a pictorial inspired from its acronym ‘GU’ and its three guiding qualities of trust, dependability and commitment. DARJEELING HILLS UNIVERSITY The grey and orange circular emblem of Darjeeling Hills University (DHU) has the motif of Himalayas glowing in early morning sun supporting a line drawing of a flame of lamp in a circle. These are ensconced by a circular border with white outlines, on which the name of the university and its motto in Devanagari ‘उत्कर्षण अन्तर्वेशन नवोन्मेषण’ and ‘Excellence Inclusion Innovation’ are inscribed. KAZI NAZRUL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kazi Nazrul University (KNU) has a circle with a torch and a tanpura circumscribed by its name in Bengali and English. These are ensconced by a red star with 24 points and supported by a banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’.The torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and regenerative power; the tanpura symbolises performing arts and culture and the red star symbolises the sun, which denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY The emblem of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) has a blue shield, a dark blue band bearing its acronym. Above the band three gear wheels and below a satellite antenna are placed. The name of the university surmounts the shield. Below the shield its motto ‘In Pursuit of Knowledge and Excellence’ is inscribed on a banner. KERALA VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY The emblem of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU)  has a turn of DNA, which is the basic molecule of life, for humans, animals as well as other lifeforms. The red portion of the DNA denotes the letter ‘K’. The DNA appears on the backdrop of a bright golden sun - the light of which represents knowledge. The motif of the sun has sixty four rays, representing sixty four art (kala) forms of ancient Indian philosophy, depicting ‘Sarvakalaashaala’.
