ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL, MYSORE The predominantly red and yellow circular emblem of the St. Francis School, Mysore has an open book supported by a traditional lamp held by a pair of hands and a cross and surmounted by its motto 'Love Knowledge Light'. The circular motif is supported by an arching banner, on which its name and address are mentioned. All these are ensconced by a thick red circular border. The book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the cross represents the institution’s religious affiliation and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
