WORLD UNIVERSITY OF DESIGN World University of Design (WUD) is India's first and only university dedicated to education in the creative domain, established by the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006. The logo of the university is made up of six intersecting lines in a heptagon on a black background. These intersections have created an abstract and virtual ‘W’ and ‘D’. Heptagon is known for mysticism and spirituality, which the university endeavours to unravel through its teaching and learning in design. It also symbolises the seven liberal arts and sciences of the mediaeval period. It symbolises seven planets and unity, harmony and stability as required in any design enterprise.
