BIRLA GLOBAL UNIVERSITY Birla Global University (BGU) is a self-financed private unitary university established by the Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015 in Bhubaneswar. The university is managed by Birla Academy of Art & Culture. The insignia of the university has a motif of the Wheel of Konark in orange surrounded by five human-like figures in light green and blue symbolising the cultural heritage of Odisha and its stakeholders. At its right the acronym and name of the university is written in sans serif blue and orange colours. The wheel symbolises moving in general and the continuity of changes and the Wheel of Konark denotes life and times. The orange colour symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
