INDIRA GANDHI TECHNOLOGICAL AND MEDICAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY The Indira Gandhi Technological And Medical Sciences University (IGTAMSU), is located in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh. was established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh under Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University ACT 2012 (Act 6 of 2012). The emblem of the university is a shield supported by a pair of blue colour laurels on sides and a banner carrying its acronym and place at the bottom. The shield holds a yellow rising sun with red rays. This is topped by a grey band which houses the motifs of three intersecting circles, an open book and a triangle. The rising sun is the icon of the state of Arunachal Pradesh; The intersecting circles are called Borromean rings and it denotes the Holy Trinity; the open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education; the triangle symbolises ascension and the unattainable; the shield means protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery and the laurels symboli
