INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL TRIBAL UNIVERSITY, AMARKANTAK The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Amarkantak (IGNTU), has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action in July 2008. Its emblem has motifs of a tribal artist with drum, a book, a peacock, rising sun, banyan trees and a river surrounded by a green circular border on which its name is written in Devanagari and English; supported on either side by a crest of cereal and crested by four pairs of horns. On the green pedestal supporting this emblem is the name of the place and a blue banner at the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या विन्दते अकिलम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge Finds the World’ is written.
