NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY UTTARAKHAND Established in 2009 under the Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Education, National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NITUK) is the technical education hub in the green and clean lap of the Himalayas, precisely located in the Land of the Gods, the State of Uttarakhand. Its logo in greyish blue and fresh green has an octagonal lotus in the centre, in which the picture of Ganga descending from Himalayas in the backdrop of a glowing sun is depicted. It is ensconced in a gear wheel. This is surrounded by a border on which the name of the institute is written in Devanagari and English. At the bottom on a red banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘अभ्यासध्यारयेतः विद्या’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Maintained Through Practice and Hardship’ is written.
