Maharaja Bir Bikram University is a State University established on November 1, 2015 in Agartala by the Tripura Act No.6 of 2015. The university offers doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in three subjects and library science and has three affiliated colleges. The red circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a rising sun in a red circle placed on a floral background and is ensconced by a circular border on which its motto ‘Ideas Imagination Innovations’ and its name. The open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom; the rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth and the flower symbolises youth, beauty and pleasure.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu commenced in 1985. The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. (Jijau Bank) has a profile image of Rajmata Jijau on a green circle ensconced by a partial gear wheel which is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari. This assemblage is supported by a red banner bearing its motto ‘राष्ट्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Let the Nation Triumph’. The gear wheel refers to industry and industrial financing.

THANGAVEL WOMEN’S ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (TWASC) The emblem of Thangavel Women’s Arts And Science College (TWASC) features a ‘Vel’, the sacred spear of Lord Muruga supported by a nib of a pen also depicted as a lotus supported by an open book. The motto of the college ‘கற்றனைத்தூறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed below the pictorial. The name and details of the college are written at the bottom. The ‘Vel’ is the divine spear of Lord Muruga or Shanmuga. According to Shaiva tradition, the goddess Parvati presented the Vel to her son Murugan, as an embodiment of her shakti, in order to vanquish the asura Surapadman.
