The predominantly red and yellow circular emblem of the St. Francis School, Mysore has an open book supported by a traditional lamp held by a pair of hands and a cross and surmounted by its motto 'Love Knowledge Light'. The circular motif is supported by an arching banner, on which its name and address are mentioned. All these are ensconced by a thick red circular border. The book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the cross represents the institution’s religious affiliation and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

INDIAN GRAPE PROCESSING BOARD Keeping the above in mind and to co-ordinate the efforts for promotion and development of the wine industry in India in close association with industry, producers and other stakeholders, the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on January 2, 2009 gave its approval for the establishment of the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Board has its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra that is close to the principal grape growing and processing areas in the country.
