The circular emblem of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology is a service mark with blue gera wheel housing the picture of Sri Adi Shankaracharya sitting on a lotus placed on a globe. This is supported by an open book and a pair of traditional lamps. On a banner placed below the gear wheel its motto in Sanskrit ‘;विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written. The gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; open book refers to knowledge, education, learning, intelligence and wisdom and the lamps refer to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi.
