Mangos are the sweetest of fruits, symbolizing auspiciousness and the happy fulfillment of legitimate worldly desires. In Sanskrit the design is known as mankolam and has long been used in India. POORNA KUMBHA Poorna Kumbha or Purna Kumbh is a copper or brass pot filled with water with its mouth decorated with mango leaves, coconut and flowers. The body of the vessel may have the engraving of the face of a goddess or drawn with the symbol of Sun god drawn with kumkum and turmeric. The Kalasa is the topmost part of the Shikhara with further sub parts like Kumbha (Pot), Griva (Neck), Karnika (Crowning Projection) & Bija Puraka (Coconut fruit). It is believed in Hinduism that the Purna Kumbha stands as a symbol of abundance, fertility and has auspicious qualities to it. Its is mentioned in the Rig Veda.
