The emblem of Prashanth Hospitals has a pictorial of a red and blue shield with a star crested by a sun and a moon and supported by a banner written on with its tagline ‘We Care for You’. Its name is written on the right in greenish blue colour. The shield with star refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the sun and the moon refers to day and night service and the greenish blue colour symbolises calmness, serenity, renewal, balance, and harmony with nature.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
