The circular seal of The Gadchiroli Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd. has a pair of hands pouring money from a pot held by a pair of hands, supported by a pair of laurels and ensconced by a circular border with red outlines and inscribed with its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘एकमेका  साहा करू । अवघे धरू सुपंथ’ (Sant Tukaram) meaning ‘Let us help each other and follow the right path’. The hands pouring wealth into other hands refer to cooperation and support; the laurels refer to growth, prosperity and the nurturing aspect of the institution.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
