The Swastika is a sacred symbol in Jainism. The four sides of Swastika symbolize the four forms of existence of the worldly (non-liberated) souls. The four forms are; heavenly beings, human, Tiryanch (which includes animals, birds and plants) and hellish beings. It reminds us that worldly souls undergo a continuous cycle of birth, suffering, and death in these four forms. Hence one should follow the true religion and be liberated from suffering. The three dots represent the Jain path of liberation the - Jain trinity: Right Faith - ‘Samyak Darshan’, Right Knowledge – ‘Samyak Jnäna’, and Right Conduct – ‘Samyak Chäritra’, which together lead to liberation. The crescent of the moon represents the region known as ‘Moksha’. This region is beyond the three worlds and it is the permanent place where the liberated souls reside.

(PDCC Bank) has a motif of yellow gear wheel housing a farmer tilling the land with a pair of cattle and plough circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and supported by its year of inception and its tagline in Sanskrit ‘सत् फलाय् सहकारिता’ meaning ‘Public Benefit Through Cooperation’. A pair of laurels supports the motifs on the sides and a banner and its initials at the bottom. All these are placed on a blue rectangular panel. The farmer refers to agriculture and agricultural financing; the gear wheel refers to industry and industrial financing and the laurels refer to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

THE DOGRA REGIMENT The Dogras who form the hardy and loyal population of the hill regions of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir have a long tradition of soldiering. The Dogras formed into a regiment in 1887 and three Dogra Regiments were raised as part of the Bengal Infantry and the Dogra Scouts come under the aegis of the Dogra Regiment. Its Regimental Centre is Fazizbad, Uttar Pradesh and its insignia is a tiger, revered as the mount of Goddess Durga, who is a widely worshipped deity in the Dogra Hills. Its Regimental motto is ‘Kartavyam Anvatma’ (Duty Before Death) and its war cry is ‘Jawala Mata Ki Jai’ (Victory to Goddess Jawala). Its insignia is A Tiger, revered as the mount of Goddess Durga, who is a widely worshipped deity in these regions.

GUJARAT VIDYAPITH Gujarat Vidyapith was founded by Mahatma Gandhi on October 18, 1920. Gujarat Vidyapith has been a deemed university since 1963. The emblem of the university is an open lotus flower. In it, in Devanagari script, is written ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ meaning ‘Knowledge is That which Liberates (us)’. In Arabic it is written ‘al hikamato zallatual monimine fahaiso uajedaha ahakko leha’. The banyan tree in the emblem signifies growth. There is also the moon that symbolises beauty, calmness and development. Lotus shows non-attachment and holy spirit and the lamps on either side in a circle symbolise knowledge. The university was established for the purpose of achieving independence. The object of political independence was temporary but the devotion for self-liberation and knowledge are its permanent ideals. This devotion should continue to grow like a banyan tree and moon with a spirit of non-attachment of a lotus.

RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY Rabindra Bharati University was founded on May 8, 1962, under the Rabindra Bharati Act to mark the birth centenary of poet Rabindranath Tagore at his residential house at Kolkata. The emblem of the university is a modified version of Vishva Bharati University in square shape with woodcut like elements dividing the square into six parts. The upper part bears the name of the university in Bengali and in the centre a lotus with sixteen petals holding a book of palm leaf manuscript. NORTHERN COMMAND The Indian Army’s Northern Command is deployed in and responsible for the security of India’s borders with China and Pakistan in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. FCI ARAVALI GYPSUM AND MINERALS INDIA LIMITED The FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India Limited (FCIAGMIL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 as a public sector undertaking on February 14, 2003 after being hived off the Jodhpur Mining Organization of Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd. The organisation has to its credit the exploration and prospecting of 265 gypsum deposits with a reserve of more than 100 million tonnes. Most of the gypsum deposits in the country owe their existence to Jodhpur Mining Organisation. Gypsum mines of Jodhpur Mining Organisation are scattered in vast and difficult Thar desert and are situated in Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner and Barmer district. Mohangarh mines of FCIAGMIL situated in Jaisalmer District has one of the best quality gypsum in Asia. The emblem of FCIAGMIL has three parabolic orange lines encircling white leaves in green circular patch. Its acronym is written below in Devanagari and English.
