The Swastika is a sacred symbol in Jainism. The four sides of Swastika symbolize the four forms of existence of the worldly (non-liberated) souls. The four forms are; heavenly beings, human, Tiryanch (which includes animals, birds and plants) and hellish beings. It reminds us that worldly souls undergo a continuous cycle of birth, suffering, and death in these four forms. Hence one should follow the true religion and be liberated from suffering. The three dots represent the Jain path of liberation the - Jain trinity: Right Faith - ‘Samyak Darshan’, Right Knowledge – ‘Samyak Jnäna’, and Right Conduct – ‘Samyak Chäritra’, which together lead to liberation. The crescent of the moon represents the region known as ‘Moksha’. This region is beyond the three worlds and it is the permanent place where the liberated souls reside.

The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
