The gold and olive green insignia of G.L.A. University (GLAU) has a shield with an open book and a reader  and its year of inception supported by a pair of laurels. A golden banner placed on the shield is inscribed with its name. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘ऋते ज्ञानान्न मुक्तिः’ (Hiranyakeshiyashākhā Shruti) meaning ‘Without Knowledge There is No Liberation’ is placed below the motifs. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book denotes learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the colour gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement and the colour olive green denotes peace, harmony, balance, stability and being grounded.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
