EMBLEM OF WEST BENGAL
The emblem consists of a circle depicting a globe with the state of West Bengal highlighted by a representation of the Bengali alphabet 'পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার'. The National Emblem of India appears above the globe and the emblem includes the name of the state in the English. The central element of the emblem was also used by the Biswa Bangla campaign to promote sale of traditional West Bengali handicrafts and textiles. The current emblem was designed by Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of the state and was officially adopted in January 2018. This logo, known as ‘Banglarmukh’ or Face of Bengal, depicted a female face surround by a red veil.

(Apex Bank) has orange and green arrows stacked one over the other and is superscribed by a pair of wheat stalks. These motifs are supported by a its short name ‘Apex Bank’ and surmounted by its motto in Devanagari ‘सशक्त सहकारिता; समृद्ध मध्यप्रदेश’ meaning ‘Strong Cooperation; Prosperous Madhya Pradesh’. The upward pointing arrows refer to growth, dynamism, ambition and achievement; the wheat stalks framing the central design are symbolic of agriculture, prosperity, and the rural communities that the cooperative bank serves and the handshake refers to  cooperation, agreement, togetherness, support and strength. The colours orange and green signifies nationalism.

At the bottom of the gear wheel, in a circle, a motif of handshake is placed and a pair of crests of cereal support the emblem. The farmer refers to agriculture and agricultural banking and finance; the sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the gear wheel refers to industry and industrial banking and finance; the handshake refers to cooperation, agreement, togetherness, support and strength and the cereal refers to food, prosperity and security.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. The shining sun signifies light, universal prosperity and path for growth; water denotes the rivers of the land and its vitality in life and the two humans holding books signifies the nature of the open university and its courses.
