The orange and black emblem of Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) is a monogram in rhombus created using its acronym ‘DDU’. This emblem is bold, standing out and informs one of the university’s dynamism. The shape of the rhombus known as a diamond or lozenge refers to a diamond and it signifies life, prosperity, reward, inner balance and protection; colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour black denotes mystery, power, elegance and sophistication.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure.
