DIGITAL INDIA CORPORATION
Envisioning the transformation of India to a digitally empowered nation in the field of technology, Digital India Corporation (DIC) is a national campaign launched by the Government of India to ensure the government’s services are made available to citizens electronically. This involves augmenting e-Governance services by improving online infrastructure and increasing Internet connectivity. The logo was designed by an individual whose name is Rana Bhowmik. The Digital India Corporation's mission was to represent the new generation, reflect the speed of the digital era and the flavour of India. The logo successfully combines 'D' and 'I' with the colours of the National Flag.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

This assemblage is ensconced by a purple circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; sunburst with IHS is the Jesuit seal and it represents the name of Jesus. It is derived from the first three letters of Jesus' name in Greek (ΙΗΣ); the lamp symbolises enlightenment, removal of ignorance and the light of the world; and the book is a universal symbol for learning, education, and the spread of knowledge.
