Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, an integral part of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, serves as a field of experiment and research in education. To give a concrete shape to his vision, the Mother opened a school for children on December 2, 1943. Since then, the school has continued to grow and experiment on various educational problems and issues. In 1959, the Mother decided to rename it ‘Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education’. The symbol of Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education is described as “The effective manifestation of Ishwara and Ishwari in union.”

ETERNAL UNIVERSITY The orange and blue emblem of Eternal University (EU) has a globe in the tones of orange with a dove with a branch of olive flying above. The name of the university is written in black and red. Its motto ‘In Pursuit of Permanent Peace and Spiritual Brotherhood’ is written along the circumference of the globe. The dove with a branch of olive symbolises peace, innocence and purity; the globe symbolises education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness and the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

KALAKSHETRA FOUNDATION  Kalakshetra literally means a holy place of arts (Kala: Arts, Kshetra: Field or Holy place). Deriving inspiration from this noble ideal, Kalakshetra Foundation was established. Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Its logotype in yellow ochre colour ‘kalakshetra’ is written in calligraphic style in lower case and over lapping this at its bottom ‘Foundation’ is written in brown colour.

The motifs are ensconced by a red and white circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. On a green banner placed below the seal, the motto of the college in Tamil. The gopuram refers to to the place’s history and heritage and divine grace and blessings; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels are are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other symbols denote education, learning, sports, educational achievement, science and technology.
