BIHAR POLICE

Policing in Bihar is more than 3000 years old. In fact, there are documented historical references to policing practices adopted by the Magadh Empire. Policing in the Modern era in Bihar began in the year 1862 with the introduction of the Indian Police Act of 1861. Following the creation of the province of Bihar in 1912, the basic structure of police as it exists today in the whole of India was laid. The Bihar Policemen’s Association which came into existence in 1967 was the first of its kind to look after the interests of the policemen. The emblem of the Bihar Police shows the ‘Bodhi’ – banyan tree and depiction of river Ganges. The words ‘Bihar Police’ in Devanagari is inscribed between them. All these are set in gold colour in a indigo coloured shield.

DAKSHIN BIHAR GRAMIN BANK Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank (DBGB) is a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) founded on January 1, 2019. It was formed by amalgamating two RRBs of Bihar viz. Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank (MBGB) and Bihar Gramin Bank (BGB). DBGB is sponsored by Punjab National Bank (PNB). The emblem of the bank has a motif of three leaf-like designs in yellow inscribed with ‘D’, ‘BG’ and ‘B’ - the bank's acronym on the leaves. This is supported by a pair of crowns of wheat in yellow colour with their stem crossed. All these are supported by a green oval background. Its motto is written in Devanagari ‘ग्रामीण विकास हमारी प्रतिबद्धता’ on top and in English ‘Committed to Rural Development’ at the bottom of the red border surrounding the emblem separated by yellow dots. Green denotes hope, freedom, agriculture, nature and fertility and yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity. INDIRA GANDHI RASHTRIYA MANAV SANGRAHALAYA A nucleus of a 'National Museum of Man' began functioning from New Delhi from March 21, 1977 as part of the Anthropological Survey of India. In 1978 it was separated from the Anthropological Survey of India and declared as an Independent Subordinate Office of the Department of Culture, Government of India. In March 1985 the Museum was renamed as Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, which was later through a Cabinet decision named after Indira Gandhi as Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS). For international perspective the term ‘National Museum of Mankind’ was adopted. Its logo has a slender dancing girl stylistically depicted in tribal art form in red on a background of yellow.

BHAGWANT UNIVERSITY Bhagwant University Ajmer is established by Bhagwant Education Foundation which has also established Bhagwant Global University Kotdwar. This is the only university in Rajasthan which offers engineering courses in aeronautics, petroleum, nanotechnology and agriculturre. The proposal for setting up of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) was approved in 2007 February. IICA was conceived as a revenue generating model and in the initial stage at least 33 percent of the revenue expenditure should be income from their activities. Its corporate tagline is ‘Partners Governance Transfromation’. The monogram has a bright blue rectangular round cornered box with four yellow coloured floating strokes symbolising the range of issues, which the institution may address; the acronym partially in white in the box and partially out of it.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CROP PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY The Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (Formerly Paddy Processing Research Centre) is a pioneer Research and Development Institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. The Institute has its origin in 1967 when it was started as research and development laboratory in the Modern Rice Mill complex of Thanjavur Co-operative Marketing Federation (TCMF) at Tiruvarur, Tamilnadu. The Institute was later upgraded as a national laboratory with the name Paddy Processing Research Centre - PPRC in 1972.
