Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) is a premier national institution devoted to academic, technology support and research activities for the growth of plastics and allied industries in the country. CIPET operates on hub and spokes model with 22 locations spread across the length and breadth of the country. CIPET has 15 centres at Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Hajipur, Haldia, Jaipur, Imphal, Lucknow, Mysore and Panipat. All the centres have state of art infrastructural facilities in the areas of design, CAD/CAM/CAE, tooling and mould manufacturing, plastics processing, testing and quality control to cater to the needs of plastics and allied industries in the country. Its aim is to provide qualified human Resources to the industry, CIPET offers a blend of specialized academic Programs in the field of plastics engineering and technology in areas of doctoral, post graduate, undergraduate, post diploma or diploma.  It has adopted a new logo in 2018 selected through a competition. This has ‘प’ and ‘P’ as a monogram in oraलge and green crested on right top with a four petalled leaf. This look like a mould for injection and the leaf symbolises environment consciousness. Its acronym CIPET is written in Devanagiri and English at the bottom and below that is its motto ‘probe, practice, perform, Plastics’ in dark blue.

SOUTH CENTRAL ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE The  South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur one of the seven zonal cultural centres in India was  established in 1986 with its headquarters at Nagpur. It comprises the linguistically different States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Each of these States has rich traditions of folk, tribal, fine arts and crafts. Its logo has seven round cornered squares with black border of which one in the centre is filled with blue and the others with white. On top of this ‘Madhydakshini’ is written on Dwvanagari meaning ‘Southern Central’ is written in black.

NORTH ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE The North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) is located in Sheesh Mahal, Patiala. Patiala is the city of gardens and universities. It was inaugurated on November 6, 1985. The Centre has been registered under the registration of Societies Act 1860. The NZCC is one of the seven cultural centers established in the country to strengthen the ancient roots of Indian culture and evolve and enrich composite national culture. The Centre comprises regions from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan and Union Teritory Chandigarh. Its logo has a pentagonal tribal motif representing five major regions of the centre depicted in the form of a tile over orange background.

CHERA DYNASTY The  Chera Dynasty was one of the Tamil dynasties in and before the Sangam period history of the State of Kerala and the Kongu Nadu region of Western Tamilnadu in southern India. Together with the Tamil dynasties of Cholas of Uraiyur, (Tiruchirappalli) and the Pandyas of Madurai, the early Cheras were known as one of the three major powers (muvendar) of ancient Tamizhagam in the early centuries of the Common Era. Bow and arrow is the symbol of Chera dynasty and this is found in many of the archaeological findings and literary records. Nedum Cheralathan was a Chera ruler of the early historic south India, contemporary to the Chola ruler Perunarkilli. He is the second known Chera ruler from the early Tamil literature, and is praised in the Second Ten of Pathitruppaththu. He patronized Jainism and Buddhism.

INDIAN DIAMOND INSTITUTE With the objective of enhancing the quality, design and global competitiveness of the Indian jewellery, the Indian Diamond Institute (IDI) was established as a Society in 1978 with its office located at Surat, the world’s biggest diamond manufacturing centre. It has two campuses, one in Katargam and the other in Vesu. The Institute is sponsored by the Department of Commerce and patronized by the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). The Institute conducts various diploma and other courses related to diamond trade and industry. The Institute also has certification services for diamonds, coloured stones and gold jewellery. Its logo in reddish brown colour has the depiction of diamond cutting strokes and its name and tag line ‘Passion: Technology: Innovation’ black in serif font is inserted in it.

THE THANJAVUR MAHARAJA SERFOJI’S SARASWATHI MAHAL LIBRARY The Thanjavur Maharaja Serfoji's Sarasvati Mahal Library (TTMSSML) is located in Thanjavur in Tamilnadu. It is one of the oldest libraries in Asia and has on display a rare collection of palm leaf manuscripts and papers written in Tamil, Hindi, English, Telugu, Marathi and a few other languages indigenous to India. The collection comprises well over 60,000 volumes, though only a tiny fraction of these are on display. The Saraswathi Mahal library started as a royal library for the private pleasure of the Nayak Kings of Thanjavur who ruled 1535 - 1675 AD. The Maratha rulers who captured Thanjavur in 1675 patronised local culture and further developed the library until 1855. Since 1918 it has been a possession of the state of Tamilnadu. SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI The Sangeet Natak Akademi - India's national academy for music, dance and drama - is the first national academy of the arts setup by the Republic of India. It was created on May 31, 1952. As the apex body specializing in the performing arts of the country, the Akademi also renders advice and assistance to the Government of India in the task of formulating and implementing policies and programmes in the field. Additionally, the Akademi carries a part of the responsibilities of the state for fostering cultural contacts between various regions in India, and between India and the world. It has constituent units, centre and interpretation centres spread all across India. The brown colour emblem of this academy has a horn and a traditional mask placed within a rectangle as a portrait. NATIONAL GALLERY OF MODERN ART The idea of a national art gallery was first mooted in 1949. Dr S. Radhakrishanan formally inaugurated the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) on March 29, 1954. It collection of more than 1700 works by 2000 plus artists. PALLAVA DYNASTY

PALLAVA DYNASTY - BULL The Pallava Dynasty existed from 275 CE to 897 CE, ruling a significant portion of the Deccan, also known as Thondaimandalam. The dynasty rose to prominence after the downfall of the Satavahana dynasty, with whom they had formerly served as feudatories. The Pallavas became a major South Indian power during the reign of Mahendravarman I(600–630 CE) and Narasimhavarman I (630–668 CE), dominating for about 600 years, until the end of the 9th century. Kancheepuram served as the capital of the Pallava kingdom.  They developed the Pallava script, from which, Grantha ultimately took form. This script eventually gave rise to several other Southeast Asian scripts such Khmer. The Chinese traveller Xuanzang visited Kanchipuram during Pallava rule and extolled their benign rule. NATIONAL INVESTIGATION AGENCY The NIA Act was enacted on December 13, 2008 and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was born. NIA is the central counter terrorism law enforcement agency in India. It has registered and investigated 315 cases and has a record of 90% conviction rate. Its emblem has ‘NIA’ placed in the centre of a blue bordered circle. The acronym is supported by a laurel and national emblem atop. At the bottom is the ‘Chakra’ and tricolour ribbon fly on both its sides. The circular border has its name and ‘Government of India’ written in English.
