COFFEE BOARD
The Coffee Board was set up under Section (4) of the Coffee Act, 1942. The Board is headed by a Chairman and functions from Bangalore. The Board administers four projects for growth and development of the coffee industry; promoting coffee consumption in India and exports in the international market; supporting research; extension and developmental activities for raising productivity; evolving pest and disease resistant varieties and prescribing and enforcing quality standards at all stages. The coffee brown coloured logo has the map of India in the centre surrounded by two concentric circle bearing the name in Devanagari and English. At the bottom is a coffee cup with saucer has got a pair of wreaths of coffee stem with leaves.
