STATUE OF UNITY
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is highly respected leader of Indian independence struggle and for his leadership in uniting the 562 princely states of India to form the Union of India. This is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres (597 feet), which is almost double the height of the Statue of Liberty, USA. This stands on the isle of Sadhu-Bet in River Narmada, at Ekta Nagar, District Rajpipla in the State of Gujarat, with the majestic Vindhyachal and Satpuda Mountain Ranges in the backdrop. Its logo is has the text ‘Statue of UNITY, ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat’ in black bold sans serif face symbolising the strength and power. The letter ‘I’ is in the form of the silhouetted statue of Statue of Unity on a pedestal with dark orange circle. Three vertical columns of shades of orange form the backdrop for the statue.
