AKHIL BHARATIYA VIDYARTHI PARISHAD
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) started activities somewhere in 1948 and registered on 9th July, 1949 as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) under Societies Registration Act 1860 with Registrar of Joint Staff Companies, Delhi. ABVP has unflinching faith and conviction in Unity and integrity of Bharat, Bharatiya philosophies, National Reconstruction, rich cultural heritage and civilization continue to be the source of inspiration on the principles and practice of Dharma, effective participation of the students, youth and the people. Its emblem has a right hand holding a burning torch in the centre of a blue circle with map of India within white border, wherein its name in Devanagari in red is written and at the bottom of the circle is its motto ‘ज्ञान शील एकता' meaning ‘Knowledge Discipline Unity’ in blue.

KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion.
