NATIONAL STUDENTS’ UNION OF INDIA
Since its inception in April 9, 1971, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has been the lighting torch of student activism. This torch has remained ignited with the idea of safeguarding the rights of the student community alongside instilling a sense of citizenship among students, student activists have been identified, groomed and moulded into leaders in various fields proficient to represent the nation. Its emblem is a circular seal with a white border where its name is written in black letters and in the middle is a four coloured flag with a white torch and three red stars.

COTTON UNIVERSITY Cotton University (CU) was formerly known as Cotton College, the institute was established in 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton, the Chief Commissioner of the erstwhile British province of Assam. It became a constituent college of Gauhati University in 1948. In 2011 the Cotton College State University was established vide an Act of the Government of Assam, with the college as a constituent. Cotton University came into being in 2017 through The Cotton University Act, 2017 that enabled the unification of Cotton College State University and Cotton College. The official emblem of the university dates back to 1933. It was designed by Mohendra Nath Deka Phukan, an alumni of the university. This emblem is a shield which is a symbol of protection of Assam. PALLAVA DYNASTY - BULL The Pallava Dynasty existed from 275 CE to 897 CE, ruling a significant portion of the Deccan, also known as Thondaimandalam. The dynasty rose to prominence after the downfall of the Satavahana dynasty, with whom they had formerly served as feudatories. The Pallavas became a major South Indian power during the reign of Mahendravarman I(600–630 CE) and Narasimhavarman I (630–668 CE), dominating for about 600 years, until the end of the 9th century. Kancheepuram served as the capital of the Pallava kingdom.  They developed the Pallava script, from which, Grantha ultimately took form. This script eventually gave rise to several other Southeast Asian scripts such Khmer. The Chinese traveller Xuanzang visited Kanchipuram during Pallava rule and extolled their benign rule. PACIFIC MEDICAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Pacific Medical University (PMU) has a red cross with a flame atop, superimposed by a green path and surmounted by a rising sun and supported by a ‘kalash’ overwritten by a its acronym ‘PMU’ are placed over the background of ocean.
