KOLKATA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD
Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (KMRCL) is a Government of India enterprise implementing Kolkata (East-West Metro) Corridor Project. KMRCL's Project upon completion will connect Salt Lake Sector-V in the East and Howrah Maidan in the West. There shall be six elevated stations and six underground stations. The line will have interchange with existing terminals of Indian railways at Howrah and Sealdah. Its green red and blue emblem has a pair of concentric hexagons symbolising underground, safety and environment friendliness; has two arrow heads in blue and red facing opposite directions meaning to-and-fro transport.

The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side.
