Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is a Fortune 500 company and the largest private sector corporation in India. Its motto ‘Growth is Life’ captures the ever-evolving spirit of RIL. It has evolved from being a textiles and polyester company to an integrated player across energy, materials, retail, entertainment and digital services. Its logo is updated in 2001 with gold emblem and black text for name. Gold symbolises richness, wealth, luxury and power and the name in black serif gives a formal and professional feel. This golden emblem is a stylized version of ‘R’ resembling a flame, symbolising light, growth and brightness. This is used as a crest for many of its other companies in different colours.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology.
