KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport), named after founder of the City - Hiriya Kempegowda - is the first Greenfield Airport in India, established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Its logo has got an emblem consisting of petals from the flowers three plants found in Bangalore - Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) – greenish blue, Gulmohur (Delonix regia) - Orange and the Copper Pod (Peltophorum pterocarpum) – yellow. Below this is its name ‘Kempegowda’ written in greenish blue and below that is ‘International Airport, Bengaluru’ in black. The logo was designed by Ray and Keshavan of the Brand Union.

PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS REGULATORY BOARD The pictorial logo of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has a yellow and orange circle supported by a pair of blue and red swooshes. The circle refers to the petroleum and natural gas industry, the red swooshes symbolise passion, power, strength, courage, determination and energy and the blue swooshes symbolise serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness and intelligence. Below the motifs, its initials are written in blue sans serif capitals.

BIOGAS PROGRAMME The word mark logo of Biogas Programme has biogas written in green and black with the letter ‘O’ shown as a pair of leaves in orange and green with an electrical plug. The green leaf refers to energy from biological sources and the orange leaf refers to the derived energy and the plug refers to the generation and tapping of electricity. The black colour refers to the biological fuel.

BURDWAN UNIVERSITY Burdwan University is a State University which was established on June 15, 1965. The circular emblem of this university has a gear wheel with sixteen teeth holding the motif of a decorative column standing on a lotus pedestal and supported on either side by scroll designs. These are ensconced by a border on which the name of the university is inscribed in Devanagari and Bengali. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the decorated column signifies dharma and being virtuous.

The map is in green colour to symbolise the State as ‘Rice Bowl’.  Its name and motto in Devanagari are inscribed in the border, which ensconces the motifs. The motto in Sanskrit ‘भद्रं नो अपि वातय मनो दक्षमुत क्रतुम’ (10.25.1, Rig Veda) meaning ‘Oh God, Fill Our Souls with Auspicious Deeds and Fill Our Intellect with Pious Thoughts’.
