KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport), named after founder of the City - Hiriya Kempegowda - is the first Greenfield Airport in India, established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Its logo has got an emblem consisting of petals from the flowers three plants found in Bangalore - Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) – greenish blue, Gulmohur (Delonix regia) - Orange and the Copper Pod (Peltophorum pterocarpum) – yellow. Below this is its name ‘Kempegowda’ written in greenish blue and below that is ‘International Airport, Bengaluru’ in black. The logo was designed by Ray and Keshavan of the Brand Union.
