RIGHT TO INFORMATION

Passed by the Parliament of India on June 15, 2005, the Right to Information (RTI) Act provides certain provisions under which an Indian citizen may request information from a government body or a public authority. The concerned authorities are required to reply expeditiously or within the duration of thirty days, thereby following the mandate of giving a timely response to citizens. This law came fully into force on October 12, 2005. The RTI logo is a simple and iconic logo depicting a sheet of paper with some information on it in blue and the public authority providing the information. This represents people’s empowerment through the transfer of information and accountability in the Government.

The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. A pair of laurels supports the border. Below the seal, the motto of the college ‘Knowledge & Empowerment’ is written. NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE  National Informatics Centre (NIC) is the premier science and technology organisation of the Government of India in informatics services and information and communication technology (ICT) applications. Established in 1976, NIC is a part of the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of Government of India. The NIC logo is light blue in colour, which represents professionalism, trust, loyalty, confidence, productivity, wisdom, intelligence, strength, stability, peace, calmness and perseverance. KOLKATA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (KMRCL) is a Government of India enterprise implementing Kolkata (East-West Metro) Corridor Project. KMRCL's Project upon completion will connect Salt Lake Sector-V in the East and Howrah Maidan in the West. There shall be six elevated stations and six underground stations. The line will have interchange with existing terminals of Indian railways at Howrah and Sealdah.
