Bharat Group created a subsidiary BR Agrotech Limited (BRAL) in 2000. This company commenced operations with the commissioning of its pesticides unit at Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir to tap the extensive capacity in to manufacture and cater to the institutional customers. BRAL established a manufacturing facility at Panoli (Gujarat) with huge capacity to manufacture with state of art machinery. BRAL diversified and established a unit at Kala Amb in Himachal Pradesh to manufacture PET bottles for pesticides, beverages and pharmaceuticals with fully automated state of the art machinery for first stage and two stage manufacture of PET bottles and jars. The company’s logo has a plant with three leaves, stem and roots growing from a vial, which is placed inside a flask.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written.
