NATIONAL AIDS CONTROL ORGANISATION

Every person living with HIV in India gets access to ‘quality care and is treated with dignity' is the motto of the National Aids Control Organisation (NACO). NACO has taken measures to ensure that such people live a life without stigma and discrimination. Established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 1992, NACO is the nodal organisation for the formulation of policy and implementation of programmes for prevention and control of HIV/ AIDS in India. The logo for NACO is a wordmark consisting of text, typeface, and red cross ribbon wrapped around the letter 'A' in NACO. The red ribbon represents the organisation's elemental area of work towards the programmes for prevention and control of HIV/ AIDS in India.

RAJENDRA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (RIMS) The emblem of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is directly adapted from the State Emblem of the State of Jharkhand. The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.

TAMILNADU POLICE In 1659 Pedda Naik was engaged by the British to Guard the town of Madraspatanam with the assistance of peons. The system was the remnant of the ‘Kaval’ organization. Board of Police constituted by the then Governor Josios DuPre to deal with removal of public nuisance and maintenance of public health and order in 1770. In 1856 Police Act XII was passed by Legislative Council of the Governor General. J.C. Boudlerson became the first Commissioner of Police under the new Act. In 1906 Criminal Investigation Department was established. F. Fawcett was appointed as DIG. In 2008 Tamilnadu Police celebrated Sesquicentennial - 150 Years. In the same year the Chennai Police has been bifurcated as Chennai City Police Commissionerate and Chennai Suburban Commissionerate. INDIA TEA Counterfeit tea is a challenge faced by the tea industry. There is much more Darjeeling tea on the market each year than is actually produced. The mechanism for protecting origin-specific goods is called a geographical indication or appellation. The Indian has a mark of authenticity issued by the Tea Board of India. The logo for Indian tea has a silhouette of a tea leaf picker with the typical basket with tea leaves, hung from her head and resting on her bag, with big eyes and bigger ear rings supported by its name ‘India Tea’ at the bottom. This is ensconced in a black bordered rectangle and supported by its tagline ‘World’s Gold Standard’. The emblem is strong, direct and typical of India with excellent visibility.
