INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT JAMMU
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT JAMMU |
The Government of India established Indian Institute of Jammu (IIM Jammu) in Jammu and Kashmir in 2016. IIM Jammu inaugurated its off-Campus at Srinagar on January 24, 2020. The core principles of IIM Jammu are portrayed by its logo, depicting the dynamic and sharp leadership of a flying eagle in cyan. The distinct quality of an eagle, of training its young ones in an unique manner, relates to the philosophy of the institute. A young eagle is made to go through a tough, rigorous but rewarding training, which prepares it for the hardships of the real world like the Institute. The six elements in both the wings symbolises the six core values of IIM Jammu: Indian ethos and business ethics; excellence; innovation and entrepreneurship; integrity and collaboration; inclusiveness and sustainability. The circle at the top represents the rising sun which signifies new possibilities and beginnings for our graduates and alumni. The bold lettering reflects a firm base and rootedness. The blue colour signifies the endless sky. The rich maroon colour signifies fertility and growth, as well as rootedness in Indian culture. Its motto, in Sanskrit, 'सा विद्या या विमुक्तये' means 'It is Knowledge that Liberates' is written at the bottom. The logo was designed by Tarun Giridhar and Team and Jhalak Sahay for added colour to the logo.
