DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Established in 1962, under M.I.D.C Act 1961 as the premier industrial infrastructure development agency of Government of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is the nodal Investment Promotion agency under the Government of Maharashtra. It provides businesses with infrastructure such as land, roads, water supply, drainage facilities and street lights etc. Its emblem in red colour has a traditional Maharashtrian lamp ensconced in a circular border with its name inscribed. Its motto in Marathi ‘उद्यमात सकल समृद्धी:’ meaning ‘Prosperity through Enterprise’ is place below the logo. Below this the acronym of the institute in extra bold three dimensional slab serif is placed.

LTIMINDTREE Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) and Mindtree announced merged to form LTIMindtree. The logo of the merged entity has absorbed the brand colours blue and purple of both the LTI and Mindtree respectively, while retaining their monogram and emblem. The integrated logo has ‘LTI’ written in sans serif letters with one of their vertical strokes ends as if chiseled and the revolving globe and the text ‘Mindtree' in a thin rounded text. Deriving inspiration from this noble ideal, Kalakshetra Foundation was established. Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. CENTRAL AIR COMMAND Indian Air Force had undergone a major expansion process during the 1950s wherein the command and control structure was reorganised. The No.1 Operational Group of 1947 at Calcutta was revived in 1958 and was given the responsibility of organising and supervising the aerial operations of the IAF in the Eastern as well as the Central sector of the country. Post Chinese aggression of 1962, further requirement of change was felt and the area of responsibility of this Operational Group was bifurcated in two separate commands. Accordingly, Central Air Command (CAC) was formed in March 1962 to keep vigil along the Indo-Nepal boundaries at Rani Kutir, Kolkata. In February 1966, HQ CAC was shifted to Bamrauli, Allahabad.
