VELLORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) was established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 and in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College. It was conferred university status in 2001. The emblem of VIT is the Sri Jalakandeswarar temple, located within Vellore Fort. Its gopuram and walls are prominent in this circular emblem with ‘VIT’ written above. This is ensconced in a circular border on which the name is written. At the bottom on a banner, its motto in Tamil ‘உழைப்பே உயர்வுதரும்’ meaning ‘Only Labour shall Elevate’ is written.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. MAHARASHTRA STATE CO-OPERATIVE BANK LTD (MSC BANK) The blue colour emblem of Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd (MSC Bank) has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using a pair of bullocks and plough with rising sun atop and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत् फलाय् सहकारिता’ meaning ‘Public Benefit Through Cooperation’ ensconced by a gear wheel. At the bottom of the gear wheel, in a circle, a motif of handshake is placed and a pair of crests of cereal support the emblem.
