RAJA SHANKAR SHAH UNIVERSITY, CHHINDWARA

Raja Shankar Shah University, Chhindwara University (RSUC) has been established by the GOvernment of Madhya Pradesh dated June 17, 2019. The green colour octagonal emblem of the university is a pictorial of a flower created using the motifs of three open books, seven humans and reading of books standing on a pedestal. Below the pictorial its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् अनन्तम्’  (Slokh 1, Sri Govindashtakam)  meaning ‘Knowledge is Infinite’ is inscribed. The octagon represents the  the cross section of cala (movable) Śivaliṅga of the middle part, which is called Viṣṇubhāga representing Viṣṇu, the sustainer. The octagon represents the transition from the heavenly plane (circle) to the terrestrial plane (square), also known as ‘squaring the circle’. The colour green represents agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth. The open book denotes knowledge, education and wisdom and the human icons represent the students, teachers, administrators and the other stakeholders from society.
