National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Bhopal is a unique premier institution, established in 1965 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for teacher training and improving the quality of the entire gamut of technical education system. NITTTR, Bhopal’s logo has a brown circle in which a cyan coloured globe simulating a gear wheel is placed. This forms the background for a small blue gear wheel and its acronym. The acronym’s three ‘T’s simulate three learners. The brown border carries the name of the institution and place.

The motto of the university ‘We Will Create a Brave New World’ meaning ‘புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்’. The Bharathidasan Institute of Management known as BIM is located within the BHEL premises, a public sector undertaking at Thiruverumbur. The emblem of the university has a portrait of Bharathidasan supported by a lotus holding a traditional lamp and surmounted by its name and place in Tamil and English. Below the lotus, on a yellow banner, its motto is written in Tamil and English. The lotus symbolises  purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
