As envisioned by the Government of India in 2007, the National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID-AP), is one of the four institutions to brace the heirloom of design education in India. The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, established in September 2015, is the second autonomous design institute, under DPIIT, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Its logo is a monogram of its acronym NIDAP. This is read vertically and the letter ‘i’ offers a twist with a Telugu letter. The emblem is simple and easy to remember and is minimalistic.

The star refers to excellence and leadership; the rays emanating from the star refer to the institution's reach and impact; and the five triangles refer to the diverse fields of engineering. The overall design conveys a sense of unity, innovation, and commitment to academic excellence in science and technology.

ST. XAVIER'S COLLEGE, DUMKA (SXCD) The emblem of St. Xavier's College, Dumka (SXCD) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of ‘IHS’ monogram within a sun, a traditional lamp and an open book supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘To Enlighten and To Empower’. This assemblage is ensconced by a purple circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; sunburst with IHS is the Jesuit seal and it represents the name of Jesus. It is derived from the first three letters of Jesus' name in Greek (ΙΗΣ); the lamp symbolises enlightenment, removal of ignorance and the light of the world; and the book is a universal symbol for learning, education, and the spread of knowledge.

GIRIDIH COLLEGE, GIRIDIH The emblem of Giridih College, Giridih features a circle with four panels housing the motifs of a banyan tree, rising sun, a miner with a pickaxe and a range of mountains supported by a pair of stalks of grain. The name of the college and its motto are written in Devanagari on a circular border around the motifs. The motto reads in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती श्रुतिमहती महीयताम्’ (Abhigyanshakuntalam, Mahakavi Kalidas) meaning ‘May Saraswathi Bless Increasing Glory of the Scholars’.
