As envisioned by the Government of India in 2007, the National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID-AP), is one of the four institutions to brace the heirloom of design education in India. The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, established in September 2015, is the second autonomous design institute, under DPIIT, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Its logo is a monogram of its acronym NIDAP. This is read vertically and the letter ‘i’ offers a twist with a Telugu letter. The emblem is simple and easy to remember and is minimalistic.

The logo of the university depicts ‘Srivatsa’ or ‘the endless knot’ in orange colour. The Srivatsa has rich significance in the religions of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It represents the interplay of opposite forces in the world and a final merging of the dual, leading to harmony. It binds and connects all the stakeholders - the teacher and the learner at one level and at another level connects the individual units of the institution to make it a harmonious whole. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari. The rising sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the flying birds refer to joy, prosperity, sun, magical powers, freedom, hope, new opportunities, power, confidence and innovation ; the open book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom and the colour gold  symbolises to wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion. Its Regimental motto is ‘Karam Hi Dharam’ (Work is Worship) and its war cry is ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ (Victory to Bajrang Bali)and ‘Birsa Munda Ki Jai’ (Victory to Birsa Munda).

ST. XAVIER'S UNIVERSITY, KOLKATA St. Xavier's University, Kolkata is a Jesuit university located in New Town, Kolkata, India. It was established on February 8, 2017 and inaugurated on July 7, 2017. The Crest of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, is modelled on Jassu Crest of the University Patron, Saint Francis Xavier's family. It has been adapted to local surroundings, suggestive of a native flavour of a University in India. The escutcheon in white and blue contains a tiger and a palm tree, overlooked by a silver crescent moon, which symbolises the palacio of Xavier.
