Greater Noida Industrial Area is located at the intersection of the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors and is also the gateway to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). It lies within the National Capital Region (NCR) of India’s capital - New Delhi and is adjacent to Noida, one of the largest industrial townships in Asia. Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority wa set up in January 1991 under the UP Industrial Area Development Act 1976 , provided the basic enabling framework for developing an efficient and integrated modern city with high service and delivery standards. Its emblem is created using the Hindi and English acronyms of the Authority with a gear wheel, a rail track, an electric pole, a building block and a walking track in green colour.
