HYDERABAD METROPOLITAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) was formed by an Act of the then combined state of Andhra Pradesh Government in the year 2008, with an area of 7,257 square kilometre under its purview. Its logo has ‘HMDA’ written in lowercase larger x-height in black and round cornered sans serif letters in black with its motto ‘Growing Global’ at the bottom. Behind this on its right a tricolour of block with cyan, light blue and fresh green quadrants with a silhouette of Charminar, symbolising building a city is placed.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. The shining sun signifies light, universal prosperity and path for growth; water denotes the rivers of the land and its vitality in life and the two humans holding books signifies the nature of the open university and its courses. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. Lotus symbolises knowledge, wisdom and purity and the gear wheel symbolises energy, movement, advancement and progress.

At the bottom of the gear wheel, in a circle, a motif of handshake is placed and a pair of crests of cereal support the emblem.
