Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) is a member of the Dayananda Sagar Institutions family. Founded by Sri Dayananda Sagar in the early sixties. It is operating under the aegis of the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust in Bengaluru. Its emblem has a bi-colour shield in bright yellow and cyan. On the yellow portion it has the images of a book, Mahatma Gandhi and sun symbolising knowledge and learning; leadership and character and shine and remain like a sun benefiting humanity. The portion below in cyan background has an upward pointing arrow with cyan dots representing the institutions under the trust and within it nine upward pointing triangles representing each college. The acronym ‘DSU’ is placed below this supported by a lotus. The shield is ensconced by a circular border which has its name, place and year of establishment.
