Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is India’s (BPCL) ‘best performing’ Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking and is an oil refining, exploration and marketing conglomerate. In 1928, Asiatic Petroleum (India) joined hands with the Burmah Oil Company, an active producer, refiner and distributor of petroleum products, particularly in Indian and Burmese markets to form the Burmah-Shell Oil Storage and Distributing Company of India Limited. On January 24,1976, as a 100% public sector enterprise, Bharat Refineries Limited, acquired complete ownership of Burmah Shell’s interests in India, including the largest refinery and a nationwide marketing organisation. Bharat Refineries Limited was later named as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. 'Those Golden Drops of Oil' - this is what is commonly seen as Bharat Petroleum’s logo. In the Chinese view, all manifestations of the Tao are generated by the dynamic interplay of two polar forces - Yin and Yan, meaning shade and sun of the shady and sunny sides of the mountain. Its tagline 'Energising Lives' is written at the bottom.

HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED The Company which had its origin as Hindustan Aircraft Limited was incorporated on Dec 23, 1940 at Bangalore by Shri Walchand Hirachand, in association with the then Government of Mysore, with the aim of manufacturing aircraft in India. In March 1941, the Government of India became one of the shareholders in the Company and subsequently took over its management in 1942. NATIONAL BANK FOR AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) at the instance of the Government of India, constituted a Committee to Review the Arrangements for Institutional Credit for Agriculture and Rural Development (CRAFICARD) to look into these very critical aspects in 1979. Its recommendation was formation of a unique development financial institution. The creation National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) was approved by the Parliament through Act 61 of 1981. NABARD came into existence on July 12, 1982. Consequent to the revision in the composition of share capital between Government of India and RBI, NABARD today is fully owned by the Government of India. Its emblem in green colour has a plant with a cereal protected by a multi layered eccentric circles, meaning layered growth and protection, supported gently by cusping hands. NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a statutory body of Government of India, came into existence in pursuance of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 on August 17, 1995. The emblem of NCTE has an abstract symbol which shows a pair of hands supporting a light or lotus bud held by a pair of strong hands symbolise, enabling the teachers in their profession. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम’ meaning ‘Supporting the Teacher to Glory’ and its acronym are written.

DIRECTORATE OF RICE RESEARCH Directorate of Rice Research (DRR) formerly All India Coordinated Rice Improvement Project - AICRIP, was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research - ICAR in 1965 with its national headquarters at Hyderabad to organize and coordinate multi-location testing of genetic lines and technologies for crop production and protection generated across the country. The Project was elevated to Directorate of Rice Research in 1975 with an added mandate of research in the thrust areas of irrigated rice.
