CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU

The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written. The edge of the shield is marked by the name of the university in English.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. The shining sun signifies light, universal prosperity and path for growth; water denotes the rivers of the land and its vitality in life and the two humans holding books signifies the nature of the open university and its courses. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. MAHARASHTRA STATE CO-OPERATIVE BANK LTD (MSC BANK) The blue colour emblem of Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd (MSC Bank) has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using a pair of bullocks and plough with rising sun atop and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत् फलाय् सहकारिता’ meaning ‘Public Benefit Through Cooperation’ ensconced by a gear wheel. At the bottom of the gear wheel, in a circle, a motif of handshake is placed and a pair of crests of cereal support the emblem. The farmer refers to agriculture and agricultural banking and finance; the sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the gear wheel refers to industry and industrial banking and finance; the handshake refers to cooperation, agreement, togetherness, support and strength and the cereal refers to food, prosperity and security.

UPL UNIVERSITY OF SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY UPL University of Sustainable Technology (UPLUST) has been established by inclusion in the Schedule vide Section 3 (8) of Gujarat Private University Act 2009 which came into force on June 1, 2021. The institute has developed two special industry focused courses. They are Chemical Technology having four different specialisations viz. Pharmaceutical Technology, Dyes and Pigments Technology, Polymer and Rubber Technology and Glass and Ceramic Technology and Environmental Science and Technology.
