NITTE (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY)
Nitte (Deemed-to-be University) has its roots in a group of Institutions established by the Nitte Education Trust, which was established in 1979 by Justice KS Hegde, Supreme Court Judge and Speaker of Lok Sabha. The University offers programmes in the disciplines of medicine, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media & communication and Architecture. Its logo in blue colour has a monogram using ‘N’ on a shield and slicing it along the diagonal central line with its name placed alongside.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

The name of the college and its motto are written in Devanagari on a circular border around the motifs.
