The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has been established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009) and is fully funded by the Government of India. Its emblem in yellow, orange, brown and black has a pen on a book supported by left hand holding a torch and right offering a flame of glowing sun in the background of the map of the State of Rajasthan placed within an orange circle. The year of its establishment is written below. This is ensconced in a white border on which the name of the university is written in English and Devanagari. All these are bordered by petals of a flower. At the bottom on a banner, its motto ‘तेजस्विनावधितमस्तु’ meaning ‘May Our Study be Brilliant and Effective’ is written.
