Mandal's Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) features the initials ‘MIT’ in extra bold sans-serif letters and the orange dot on the letter ‘I’ is depicted as a triangle symbolising stability, balance, power and growth . The letters ‘ CSN ’ are written along the initials. The colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

MOODLAKATTE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MIT) The blue emblem of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MIT) features the initials ‘MIT’ of the college in extrabold serif capitals supported by the name of the place of the college and supporting the motifs of an open book, a traditional lamp, and a gearwheel. The pages of the book are inscribed with the motto of the college in Kannada ‘ಸತ್ಯಂ ವದ ಧರ್ಮಂ ಚರ’ (1:11Taittiriya Upanishad 1:11) meaning ‘Speak the truth, abide by Dharma (righteousness)’. The gearwheel denotes engineering and technical studies; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom.

MALABAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MIT) The brown colour logo of Malabar Institute of Technology (MIT) features a shield housing its initials supported by a pair of laurels and crested by a flame of fire. On the right the name and place of the college is written. The shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the flame refers to emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the colour brown signifies earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.

MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The pictorial emblem of Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) has three meshed gears with one housing a motif of a hand holding a spanner; the middle one with a map of Bharat or India superscribed with its initials in red and surmounted and supported by its motto ‘In the Service of India’ and the one on the right housing the motifs of a drawing board with T-square and a set-square. The three meshed gears refer to the technical and engineering focus of the institution; the hand holding a spanner refers to manufacturing, engineering, or technology in practice; the map refers to the institute’s national identity and its service to the country and the drawing board and accessories refer to engineering design, planning and development.
