U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. UKA TARSADIA UNIVERSITY Uka Tarsadia University (UTU) was established by Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal (PKBM) under Gujarat Private University (Amendment) Act No. 25 - 2011 of Government of Gujarat. The logo is created from the inspirations from the letter ‘U’, swan, blooming lotus and gyan mudra and its motives of imparting knowledge, awakening wisdom and transforming lives. It uses shades of pink and purple for its motif and in its word mark. Lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty. The colour pink is an attractive colour which evokes the feeling of tenderness and purple denotes power, authority, opulence, luxury, creativity and imagination. UNITED UNIVERSITY United University (UU) was established by the United Group as approved by the State Government under the Private University Act. Its logo has a monogram of ‘UU’ and a word mark in red and blue. The monogram forms a pedestal which supports a mortarboard or graduation hat, with its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या कल्पलतेव’ meaning ‘Education Grants all the Desires’ is placed below. It is supported on both the sides by laurels. UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) was established in 1971 as a Constituent College of University of Delhi. The emblem of the university college has the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus, depicted as a stick entwined by two snakes representing the medical profession; a 'poorna kumbh' topped with lotus symbolising life at its finest, abundance and God; lotus signifying purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; a pair of elephants signifying power, strength, unity and wisdom and water signifying life, motion and fertility. UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur is a university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of agricultural sciences established by the Government of Karnataka at Raichur district through the University of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009. The emblem of UAS has a rising sun in yellow with a tractor in it. It is supported in the centre by an open book on which a Kannada slogan is written on it, on the left by an ear of corn and on the right by a sunflower. UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES BANGALORE In 1913, Sir M Vishveshwaraiah, the then Diwan of Mysore (1912-1919) played the key role in establishing the Mysore Agriculture residential School at Hebbal in 1913 to offer Licentiate in Agriculture for fifteen students annually. In 1946 Agriculture College, Hebbal was established. In 1963, Government of Mysore decided to establish University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UASB) along the lines of Land Grant College system of USA. The circular emblem of the university has a triangle with a traditional lamp in the map of the State of Karnataka, which is surrounded by a variety of cereals; varieties of vegetables and fruits and a scene of an agricultural farm. It was established in 2015 by IEM Trust. COER UNIVERSITY COER University is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand was formerly known as University of Engineering and Technology Roorkee. Itwas ounded by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust in 1998 as the first private engineering college in Roorkee. On February 15, 2021, the Government of Uttarakhand State approved COER University as State Private University. The red, blue and green circular emblem of the university gear wheel waves of water, a dish antenna and a computer ensconced in a border with red outlines with its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘चारित्तं खलु धम्मो’ meaning ‘Charity is the Religion’. The circular violet coloured emblem of the university has an open book in the centre circle of a square, whose corners have been treated as pentagons holding the glowing rays and supported by four pens forming the diagonals of a square  All these elements have been surrounded by thick borders and ensconced by a border with border lines bears the name of the university, a pair of twigs of leaves and its motto in Sanskrit ‘चरैवेति’ (Section 3, Chapter 3, Aitareya Brahmana) meaning ‘Keep Going, Keep Going’. The logo of the group in red and grey has a red symbol inspired from ‘C’ and ‘K’ has taken the form of three crescents placed one within the other which tells about the three three industry clusters in which the group has interests. The word mark is its name written using a sans serif font with rounded corners denoting the flexibility and adaptability of the group in embracing changes and new ventures. It makes fans, lighting, home appliances and switchgears. Orient Electric has manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Faridabad and Noida. The logo of the OEL is in orange, which is a vibrant colour, signifying  enthusiasm,captivation, cheerfulness, creativity and stimulation has a monogram and wordmark of its name. The office of the Pratishthan was shifted to Ujjain in May, 1993 and it was renamed as ‘Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan’ (MSRVVP). UNIVERSITY OF LUCKNOW The idea of starting a University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of The Pioneer urging the foundation of a university at Lucknow. It was resolved that the University of Lucknow should be a unitary, teaching and residential university of the kind recommended by the Calcutta University Mission, 1919. The Court of the University was constituted in March, 1921. UNIVERSITY OF NORTH BENGAL The University of North Bengal (UNB) was established by an Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962. The motto of the university in Sanskrit is ‘समनो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी’ meaning ‘Common be your prayers, Common be the end of your assembly’. The square emblem in violet and yellow has a motif of Bengali swastika adapted to form an engrossing central figure in a circle, resembling four persons. Adjacent to this on both the sides floral decorations of the region are placed and on its top and bottom its name is written. The emblem was designed by the artist Ajit Dasgupta, who was a professor of art at the university. The emblem was adopted by the university in 1962, the year it was founded. UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM AND ENERGY STUDIES University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. The logo of the university consists of a monogram of its acronym ‘UPE’ in the tones of yellow, pink and cyan and a word mark of its acronym, in black using experimental typography in black. UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY University of Technology is established by the Government of Rajasthan through the State Legislature under the Act No 28 of 2017. The emblem of the university has the nib of the pen supporting nine leaves of three colours - yellow ochre, pink, greenish blue. The multicoloured leaves represent the diversity of courses, students and knowledge disseminated, acquired and seen flourishing. BANGALORE UNIVERSITY

BANGALORE UNIVERSITY  Bangalore University was established in July 1964 as an offshoot of the University of Mysore, primarily to include institutions of higher learning located in the metropolitan city of Bangalore and the districts of Bangalore, Kolar and Tumkur, which eventually became a separate university. The crest of the University contains the motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं’ (Yagnatva Mokshasesshumbhat - Bhagavad Gita IX.I) which when freely translated would mean that 'Knowledge together with the knowledge of the Supreme releases one from all evils'. UTKAL UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE The Utkal University of Culture (UUC) came into existence by virtue of an ordinance promulgated on June, 9, 1999, which was later replaced by Utkal University of Culture Act 1999. The university’s emblem has the Wheel of Konark supported by a base with its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा प्रथमा संस्कृति र्बिश्वबारा’ meaning ‘That First Culture is Universe’ above. This is ensconced in a rectangle with the name of the university and place in Odia on top and in English at the bottom. The Wheel of Konark is called the wheel of life, dharma and law. It is a symbol of the sun god Surya. It is found on the Konark Sun Temple, which is located in Odisha, India. KARNATAKA SAMSKRIT UNIVERSITY Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU) was established by the State Government of Karnataka in the year 2010. Karnataka Samskrit University has been formed exclusively for the development of Samskrit language. The logo of Karnataka Samskrit University was created by a famed artist of Karnataka, Sri Muralidhara V Rathod. It contains the title of the university in Devanagari, English and Kannada scripts. Devanagari script has been chosen since the university is based on the foundations of Samskrit language, literature and knowledge. The expanse and global reach of the university is signified by the English script. This is signified by the use of Kannada script in the logo. Motto for the university has been chosen from Brahmapurāṇam of Vedavyasa. The motto has been represented in Devanagari script in the logo. ‘प्रज्वालितो ज्ञानमयप्रदीपः’ indicates the supremacy of knowledge.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a statutory body of Government of India, came into existence in pursuance of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 on August 17, 1995. The emblem of NCTE has an abstract symbol which shows a pair of hands supporting a light or lotus bud held by a pair of strong hands symbolise, enabling the teachers in their profession. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम’ meaning ‘Supporting the Teacher to Glory’ and its acronym are written.
