Orient Electric Limited (OEL) is an Indian multinational electrical equipment manufacturer, based in New Delhi and part of CK Birla Group. It makes fans, lighting, home appliances and switchgears. Orient Electric has manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Faridabad and Noida. The logo of the OEL is in orange, which is a vibrant colour, signifying  enthusiasm,captivation, cheerfulness, creativity and stimulation has a monogram and wordmark of its name. The monogram uses ‘o’ and ‘e’ in creating an interesting and bold icon with its name written on its side in an unique sans serif font.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
