WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TEACHERS, TRAINING, EDUCATION PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION
The West Bengal University of Teachers, Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) was established on January 16, 2015. The emblem of the university in blue and cyan has a globe supporting an open book with images of a silhouetted face of human with highlighted brain and map of the State of West Bengal; crested by a mortarboard hat and supported by a pair of laurels. All these are ensconced in a circular border with its name and year of establishment written on it. A broad cyan colour ribbon goes around this emblem bears the motto ‘Excellence in Teacher Education’ of the university. The colour blue denotes denotes trust, character and integrity and the range of other colours denotes the diversity and variety the university caters to; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the book denotes knowledge, wisdom, discovery and intellectual and physical growth; human brain denotes consciousness, self awareness, mind, knowledge and wisdom; mortarboard or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; laurels denote victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony.
