UNIVERSITY OF PATANJALI

University of Patanjali (UOP) is a manifestation of the divine vision of His Holiness Swami Ramdev and Revered Acharya Balkrishna to establish a centre for an integral education blending all spectrums of oriental wisdom and scientific knowledge. The circular emblem of the university has an open book superimposed on a red circle which holds the motifs of Om, a person on yoga pasture beaming sun and a pestle grinder with three leaves of herb. Above thes its name is written in Devanagari and below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा प्रथमा संकृतीर्विश्ववास’ meaning ‘The First Culture of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in a circle of glowing rays. The open book denotes knowledge and wisdom; the motifs inside the circle denote the four domains of the university’s education approaches and the glowing rays mean brightness, growth, fame and glory.
